A Lifelong Love of The Slopes Starts In Childhood
After School Youth Slope Days Program
Laurel Mountain Ski Club is proud to partner with Vail Resorts (operator of the resort) to offer access to their after school youth “Slope Days” program.
This program offers multiple-week sessions for youth ages 7-18 at greatly reduced cost. Each student gets a 1-hour group lesson, equipment rental, and a lift ticket to access the mountain for the day.
In 2026 we will be offering two separate 3-week sessions. One 3-week session in January, and another in February.

School Ski Programs
The easiest time to learn to ski and snowboard is as a kid. Many of us caught the bug in elementary school or even earlier, and it is a major goal for us to inspire the generations below us to take to the slopes. Not all schools have the luxury of being able to organize their own programs or ski clubs, so Laurel Mountain Ski Club is here to assist. We can work to bring local youth together, and sponsor ski school programs for them when their school doesn’t offer one already. By coming together as a community we can make sure all local youth have a path to engaging in the group ski school programs offered by the operators of our beloved mountain.
Scholarships
We also recognize that while ski school programs offer significant discounts to students wishing to access the slopes and learn the skills to ski or ride, it can still be prohibitively expensive for some. We have a vision of access for all in our community, and have therefore set a goal of establishing scholarships for those who might otherwise be left for financial reasons.
One Community
The mountain we call home sits between several local communities and towns, and is part of what unites us. This isn’t a club for people from one side of the mountain, or a small part of our region;
Laurel Mountain Ski Club is for everyone.
By joining the club, you automatically become a part of this community,
regardless of where you call home.
