A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Members, Friends, Supporters, and Ski/Board Family,
The 2025-2026 Ski and Snowboard season is well underway, and what a season it has been so far! From kicking things off with our annual Pray For Snow Barn Bash, to seeing everyone in the lodge, on the slopes making turns, and rocking out to bands we are having one incredible season - and it’s still January!
This being our second season back in operation as an official organization, we have learned a lot and are growing as a club. We already have 100 of you who have renewed your memberships for this year - thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! If you have not received your patch and/or pin, please find me or someone else from the board the next time you are at the mountain - We have them on-site!
If you still haven’t signed up for a membership for this year it is not too late! Just go to the membership page of the website and choose the membership that is right for you!
Finally, if you would like to get more involved in the club, please don’t hesitate to reach out! You can join a committee, or attend any of the events we are holding, like our Friday Social Ski and Ride events, the upcoming Poker Runs, and the membership meeting this Saturday (more about each of those events can be found below in the newsletter).
As always, it such a joy to see each any every one of you on the mountain - everyone who has said “hi” or struck up a conversation with us, thanks! And if you haven’t, please say “hi” and introduce yourself the next time you see any of us! We love growing the community and hearing all your ideas for our mountain. If you aren’t already on a committee, or if you have ideas you’d like to share, please email us at info@laurelskiclub.org and we’ll begin the conversation.
Keep your tips up!
Zach

FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL SKI AND RIDE IS A HIT!
Join Us Each Friday Night For Laurel Mountain Ski Club’s Social Ski and Ride!
This past Friday night, Laurel Mountain Ski Club hosted our very first Friday Night Social Ski & Ride—and it was an awesome start. A great group showed up, we made some turns together, and wrapped it up the best way possible: hanging out casually, swapping stories, and enjoying the winter vibe.
Meet At The Fireplace On The Patio
The goal of these nights is simple: get together as a club, ski and ride with friends (old and new), and keep it easy and welcoming. If you’ve been meaning to meet more folks at Laurel, this is a perfect way to do it.
And we’re keeping it going—every Friday night.
Join us next week:
Meet at: the fireplace on the patio
Time: 6:00 PM
Who: Everyone — members and non-members welcome
RSVP: Not needed — just show up
For questions please email us at info@laurelskiclub.org
January Poker Run This Saturday!
This Saturday: LMSC Poker Run (4:30–6:00 PM)
Get ready for one of the most fun ways to ski and ride with the club—the LMSC Poker Run is happening this Saturday from 4:30–6:00 PM! It’s part scavenger hunt, part slope adventure, and part friendly competition… with a cash prize on the line.
How it works
Meet up in the Wildcat Lounge at 4:30 PM, geared up and ready to ski or snowboard. From there, you’ll head out on the mountain looking for Laurel Mountain Ski Club members posted up with decks of cards. Find them, draw cards, and collect a full five-card poker hand by the end of the run.
At 6:00 PM, we’ll wrap back up and compare hands. Best poker hand wins half of the entry money. The other half goes to support the club

This Saturday: January LMSC Members’ Meeting
Laurel Mountain Ski Club members—and anyone interested in what we’re building together—please join us this Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Lodge at Laurel Mountain for our January Members’ Meeting.
This is a great chance to connect in person, hear what’s underway, and help shape what comes next. We’ll be sharing club updates and opening the floor for questions and conversation.
On the agenda:
Midway Cabin updates
Plans for the Spring Carnival
Upcoming events and ways to get involved

Whether you’ve been around for years or are brand new to the club, we’d love to see you there and hear your ideas.
